Pay Less / Kroger has more than likely lost my business
Kroger / Pay Less has a sale going on for Crest toothpaste 10 for $10. There was a 50 cent off coupon in the P&G insert on Sunday 7/31. With the store doubling coupons up to 50 cents, that made the toothpaste free.
I have many issues with the sign, but if they are allowing people to come in and buy a bunch of it at one time, that's their own problem .. not the people using the coupons. The Crest coupons clearly state no more than 4 like coupons in a shopping trip. Also, the Pay Less / Kroger stores around here will only allow 2 of the same coupon to double. So, the most anyone could have gotten for free at one time is TWO.
There are many other signs that I could think of that is more appropriate:
Nice ones:
Due to overwhelming demand, Crest Toothpaste is out of stock.
Demand on Crest Toothpaste has exceeded supply.
Not so nice ones that I would prefer they use:
Crest Toothpaste is out of stock because management was not smart enough to order an adequate supply.
Due to horrible planning, even though we are made aware of upcoming coupons .. we have ran out of Crest Toothpaste
I have sent an email to corporate and am waiting to hear back. If I don't hear back my Monday, they will be receiving a call.
