A Few Basic Coupon Rules to Remember

For those of you who might be new and for those that might not be, but it's always good to have a refresher :)

Always know the store's coupon policy
- Unfortunately, every store is a little different on what they will or won't accept. Some stores have store coupons that you can stack with a manufacturer coupon. One store might allow two coupons used on a Buy One Get One Free sale, while other stores may not. So, it's always a good rule of thumb to know the store's coupon policy beforehand.

Printable Coupons
- Almost all internet coupons only allow two prints per computer. If you have more than one computer, you can print two for every computer you have. Each printable coupon has a serial number on the coupon. These coupons should never be copied. If a store turns in two coupons with duplicate serial numbers, the manufacturer has the option to not reimburse the store for those coupons, knowing that they are fraudulent.

PDF Coupon Files
- These coupons are awesome! They are a PDF file you can download and save to your computer. They all have the same serial number and you can print them as many times as you would like.

Read Your Coupons
- Be sure to read all restrictions on your coupons. It can be very easy to overlook something. There may be a size restriction on there. Some companies (Proctor and Gamble for example) may limit how many of the same coupon can be used at one time. Please be sure to stick to these restrictions to make sure that the store is able to be reimbursed for the coupons.

I know I have accidentally made a few mistakes here and there by not being careful. There are several stores that are not too coupon friendly. There is a lot of coupon fraud going on out there. I love using coupons and saving money. Unfortunately, the more coupon fraud that goes on, the more strict stores will get with their coupon policies and the more strict the manufacturers will get with the wording for usage on their coupons.
