More of My Couponing Weekend!

Bargain Briana

My new favorite coupon website!! She is in Indiana, so it is much more relevant to stores near me. She has the Marsh sale listed and several coupons that would be great for using at Marsh while they are tripling coupons. Several items that would be free or very cheap.

I have made a total of 3 trips and am going back again today.

First trip -
Total before coupons - $175.73
After coupons - $52.19
A savings of $123.54 - 71%

Second trip -
Total before coupons - $63.32
After coupons - $11.80.
A savings of $51.52 - 82%

Third trip -
Total before - $115.37
Total after - $24.61
A savings of $90.76 - $79%

I will definitely post what my next trip is. Dan and I both plan on going, so we can use more coupons. They will only let you triple 2 of the same coupon .. after that, they are just face value.

The Coupon Sites I Use

I've been having a lot of people ask what sites I use for my coupons. So, I thought I'd compile a list here.

Coupons.com

SmartSource

Redplum

Hip2Save - This is one of my favorites. It matches sales with available coupons. It also gives you deals at restaurants, other stores besides grocery, drug stores, etc.

MoneySavingMom

Retail Me Not

Common Sense With Money

Also, there are several company websites you can get on to print off coupons. For example: Like Totinos pizzas? I know our family does. Totinos.com has coupons quite often. Right now, they have 50 cents off 1 pizza.

If you have facebook, many times you can "like" a company on there and then a coupon shows up that you can print off. Many of the sites listed above will let you know when those show up on facebook.

Good luck!!!!

My big coupon weekend!

One of our local groceries stores, Marsh, is having a triple coupon sale this weekend. From now, through Monday, they will triple any coupon up to $1.00.

I printed like crazy this afternoon, sorted, clipped, and thought I was prepared for the trip. I took way more coupons than I really thought I might use. I know that Marsh's prices tend to run a little higher than most other stores. So, I knew that after I got there, I might decide to not buy some things, even with the additional amount off.

I should have known better than to take all three kids, but at least Dan was with me. It still would have went much smoother if it were just me or just me and Dan.

Our total before coupons - $175.73
After coupons - $52.19
Total savings of $123.54 or 71%

I was pretty excited!!

We haven't really done any stockpiling before. We had never had good enough deals or thought we should spend the money. We did our first bit of stockpiling today. It was only on men's body wash, but hey! It's a start lol.

We had a buy one get one free coupon on Old Spice Body Wash.
We stacked that with a $1 off coupon (that was tripled to $3 off)
It was on sale for $2.19
We had an overage of 81 cents that went toward our total bill.

We had two of these deals.

We also had a coupon for $1 off (tripled to $3) for Dove Men's Body Wash. It was $4.65 (kind of high), so it ended up being $1.65 for that. Still cheaper than anywhere else.

So, for 3 cents .. we got 6 bottles of body wash!

If anyone has babies and receives the formula checks from the formula companies - Babies R Us has a good deal this weekend too. They have the 2 oz bottles of formula (a 6 or 8 pack, depending on the brand) on sale for $5. Most formula checks are $5, some a little more .. some a little less. Could be free formula though!!

My Kids are Crazy!

Yep, certifiable lol.

When Sarah was little, she would make up her own words for things.
Shoes were doobadahs. I still have no idea why. She would get all excited at a store and want to try on doobadahs. Just about a year ago, we were in Olive Garden and their forks only have 3 prongs. She was sitting there, just staring at that fork. She then asks, with a completely straight face "Would this be called a threek?". She has turned so shy over the past few years. She doesn't hardly talk to people, especially if she doesn't know them that well. Then again, there's family members that she barely talks around too.

Emma is by far my most nutty child.
She does things almost daily to make me think this lol. She told me last night that her light bulb had ran out of ink. She talks to the tv, even yells at it. She was only about a year old when we caught her "surfing" on the rocking chair in her bedroom. I knew then we were in for it! She absolutely loves rock music. Her favorite songs are by Blind Melon and Our Lady Peace. She has also really gotten into Bon Jovi lately. She loves to watch hockey for the Boom Booms, as she calls the fighting.

Now, Kaitlin is just starting to get her personality, but she is stubborn!
She wants you to hold her bottle with your hand! If you even attempt to use your chin to hold the bottle to have a free hand for a minute...she has a fit! She has to have her fuzzy blankets. She will even smile as soon as she feels it or even sees it coming. While feeding her, she would rather eat her hands than the formula. They get in the way quite a bit. She doesn't care if I am trying to put the bottle in her mouth, she wants her hands instead lol. She also really likes to get her diaper changed. She hadn't in the past, but within the last few weeks, she really does! She will smile really big while we are changing her lol.
